Start in Luzern at 09.06 train, return to Luzern Sunday at 19.01
We will start the day with a stop at a little sauna on lake Sarnen and continue to stay over night in the youth hostel in Leissigen with direct access to lake Thun. We can swim at arrival and in the morning. On Sunday, we will go to lake Oeschinen for a hopefully really cold dip in this stunning mountain lake close to Kandersteg. We plan to bring lunch on Saturday and eat in the restaurant on Sunday but details can vary, also because we don't know how the weather will be like.
Please sign up with Yvonne and let her know which room type you prefer and if you are vegetarian or have any other special diet requests. Usually at hostels there is one menu for everyone. We made a booking for several rooms, some with 2 beds, others with 4 beds, all with shared bathroom/toilet. Most likely there are not enough double rooms since hostels usually offer dorms. Count with a lot of outdoor time, including after swimming. The sauna is outdoor too (only toilet available) and a bathrobe is compulsory to wear when walking to the lake. The hostel has no heating system in the rooms but hot showers. Towels for rent, sheets included.
Costs
The bed, dinner and breakfast will be around CHF 90.00 per person. The gondola CHF 30.00 (or CHF 15.00 with Halbtax/GA). Train costs sum up to CHF 120.00 (or CHF 60.00 with Halbtax/GA) and generally cheaper when catching a Gemeinde-Tageskarte or Sparticket day pass for Sunday. Costs for the sauna are CHF 60.00 and will be devided between all participants.

recommended to bring several quick dry towels since we use them 2-3 times a day and if the weather is bad, it will not dry. Same for swimsuit.
