Stay Save in Cold Water Workshop

  • LiLi Centre 40A Alpenquai Luzern, LU, 6005 Switzerland (map)

In this workshop for winter swimming hosts and other cold water enthusiasts, we will have a look at different floating devices like tow floats and restubes.
We will first meet at the LiLi Centre where we will familiarize ourselves with the different kinds of floatable devices and think about why it is important to use them.

Next, we will head out to the Ufschötti beach and go for a swim in the lake. We will try out the different devices and learn how to use them for swimming and floating. Further to this, we will find out how they can be used in helping ourselves and others in dangerous situations, such as cramps or dizziness.

Finally, we will head back to the LiLi Centre to warm up and to discuss our experiences. We will also use to opportunity to brainstorm a bit on how to continue developing our swim group while having a little snack. This part of the event is optional but everybody is welcome to join. :-)
